(CMMS)

What is CMMS?

Computerized Maintenance Management System (or Software is also referred to as Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).

An astounding 80% of project management executives don’t know how their projects align with their company’s business strategy.

Our implementation team works with business leaders to align CMMS goals and advantages with existing operations. And as a result, the CMMS will lead to improvements in efficiency, productivity and performance.

Regulatory Compliance

CMMS data may also be used to verify regulatory compliance. To properly control the maintenance of a facility, information is required to analyze what is occurring.

CMMS packages may be used by any organization that must perform maintenance on equipment, assets and property. Some CMMS products focus on particular industry sectors (e.g. the maintenance of vehicle fleets or health care facilities). Other products aim to be more general. CMMS packages can produce status reports and documents giving details or summaries of maintenance activities. The more sophisticated the package, the more extensive analysis facilities have available.

Effective Maintenance

This information is intended to help maintenance workers do their jobs more effectively (for example, determining which machines require maintenance and which storerooms contain the spare parts they need) and to help management make informed decisions (for example, calculating the cost of machine breakdown repair versus preventive maintenance for each machine, possibly leading to better allocation of resources).

Manually this requires a tremendous amount of effort and time. A CMMS also allows for record keeping, to track completed and assigned tasks in a timely and cost-effective manner. In recognition of this, companies have started using CMMS extensively to better control and organize maintenance management.

Making sense of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling

Maintenance planners face a difficult puzzle of creating optimal maintenance schedules with limited staff, work hours and equipment availability. But, with a fully-featured CMMS such as Maintenance Connection, planning and scheduling becomes less of a problem and more of an opportunity.

Ease of Use

Ease-of-use is perhaps the most important factor when it comes to creating and submitting work requests. Most requesters are non-technicians with little knowledge about the requirements and process of performing maintenance. The Maintenance Connection request management tool is simple and intuitive, leaving requesters feeling confident about the details they’ve provided to maintenance staff.
